Low testosterone, or hypogonadism, occurs when the body doesn’t produce adequate amounts of this essential hormone. Normal levels range from 300-1000 ng/dL in men, with symptoms appearing when levels drop below this range.
Fatigue, reduced muscle mass, increased body fat, decreased libido, mood changes, difficulty concentrating, reduced bone density, and diminished exercise recovery are common indicators of low testosterone levels.
Age, obesity, chronic stress, poor sleep, sedentary lifestyle, certain medications, and underlying health conditions can all contribute to declining testosterone levels over time.
